Jerry Cans & Fuel Containers for Site Use
Jerry cans and fuel containers are used for carrying fuel between storage areas, vehicles, plant and equipment on site.
Our range covers the following fuel containers:
Each container volume also has both plastic and steel options available. Options include standard jerry cans as well as specialist explosion-proof models, giving site teams a choice based on required capacity, material and product specification. Where additional dispensing or transfer equipment is required, browse our fuel can accessories range for compatible spouts, funnels and other supporting equipment.
Plastic & Steel Jerry Cans
5L Plastic Fuel Cans
Our 5L plastic fuel cans provide a compact option for carrying smaller quantities of petrol or diesel. Manufactured from virgin HDPE, the cans include a DIN/40mm cap and hose to support controlled pouring.
Plastic 5L options are available in different colours, including green, red and black.
Steel Jerry Cans
For applications requiring a steel fuel container, we supply jerry cans in 5L, 10L and 20L capacities.
The 5L steel jerry cans and 10L steel jerry cans are manufactured from 0.8mm cold-rolled steel, with powder-coated exteriors, fuel-resistant internal linings and leak-resistant bayonet closures. Their wide-channel breather design also supports smoother pouring.
For greater capacity, our 20L steel jerry cans use 0.8mm steel with a triple-handle design for easier carrying. They are powder-coated internally and externally and use a locking bayonet closure with a rubber seal for secure fuel storage and transportation.
Explosion-Proof Jerry Cans
CID also supplies 5L and 10L explosion-proof steel jerry cans for applications where this additional product specification is required.
- The 5L explosion-proof jerry can incorporates an aluminium foil mesh designed to dissipate heat within the container, alongside a corrosion-resistant internal lining and leak-proof bayonet closure.
- A 10L explosion-proof jerry can is also available, providing the same specialist product type with additional fuel capacity.
Both products are listed as suitable for petrol and diesel storage. Check the individual product specifications and certification information before selecting an explosion-proof can for a particular application.
Choosing the Right Jerry Can Capacity
Capacity is one of the clearest differences between the fuel cans available.
- 5L fuel cans provide the most compact option in the range and can be useful where smaller quantities of fuel need to be transported or handled.
- 10L jerry cans provide additional capacity while remaining smaller than the largest cans in the range.
- 20L jerry cans offer the greatest capacity currently available from CID and include a triple-handle design to support carrying and handling.
Material is another consideration. We offer both plastic fuel cans and steel jerry cans, so the appropriate option should be selected according to the fuel being stored, required capacity and individual product specification.
